Search for Vice President for Marketing and Communications

About the Role
The Vice President for Marketing and Communications is a strategic leadership role responsible for developing and executing comprehensive marketing and communication strategies to strengthen and enhance the university’s brand, drive growth and institutional visibility, and achieve the university’s top priorities.
This key member of the Advancement executive leadership team reports jointly to the President and Senior Vice President for Advancement and collaborates with advancement leaders to ensure strong alignment of the advancement model, comprising of development, engagement, and marketing and communications.
In addition to overseeing university communication strategies, this role will focus on marketing initiatives, leveraging data-driven insights and innovative approaches to maximize institutional positioning, brand management, and reputation management.
Search Committee
Saonee Sarker, dean of Pamplin College of Business, leads the search committee, whose members are:

- Chelsea Seeber, director of communication and marketing, College of Engineering
- Mary Trigiani, chief strategy officer and director of external relations
- Brad Wurthman, senior associate athletics director, external operations
The search committee will be supported by a staff that includes Lisa Wilkes, vice president for strategic initiatives and special assistant to the president, and Eleanor Webster, deputy to the vice president for strategic initiatives and special assistant to the president.
